Hi, I’m Feryn Heath, LMHC, LPC, CSAT, CMAT-CD.
I am a licensed therapist in Washington, Arizona, and Colorado, with a clinical background supporting individuals and couples through addiction, compulsive behaviors, relationship concerns, trauma, and life transitions. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist – Chemical Dependence (CMAT-CD) through IITAP, I have a particular interest in helping clients understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck and developing healthier, more intentional ways of living and relating.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is grounded in trust, collaboration, and genuine human connection. While clinical training and evidence-based approaches provide an important foundation for our work, I also recognize that every person brings a unique history, perspective, and set of experiences into the therapy room. My role is to meet you where you are, create space for honest exploration, and work alongside you toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Outside of my clinical work, I am a wife, mother, and award-winning children's book author. These roles have shaped my understanding of the importance of relationships, connection, vulnerability, and the many transitions that occur throughout our lives. I value the opportunity to be both a clinician and a person who continues to learn, grow, and navigate the complexities of life alongside the people I care about.
I founded my practice with the belief that seeking therapy should not require you to have everything figured out first. My hope is to provide a safe, compassionate, and clinically informed space where you can be authentic, explore difficult experiences without judgment, and develop the insight and skills necessary to move toward the life and relationships you want.
Whether you are taking your first steps into therapy or returning to treatment after previous experiences, I would be honored to support you along the way.
Areas of Speciality
Addiction & Recovery
I support individuals who are ready to step into a life of recovery from sex addiction, pornography use, compulsive sexual behaviors, and other forms of addiction. Treatment focuses on understanding the patterns and underlying factors contributing to addictive behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies, boundaries, emotional regulation, and sustainable recovery practices.
Codependency & Relationship Concerns
I work with individuals who experience patterns of codependency, difficulty establishing or maintaining boundaries, challenges with self-worth, or relationships that have become difficult to navigate. Therapy focuses on developing healthier relational patterns, strengthening boundaries, and cultivating a more balanced sense of self within relationships.
Trauma
Traumatic experiences can influence the way we understand ourselves, regulate emotions, form relationships, and respond to stress. I provide a supportive environment to explore the impact of trauma at a pace that respects each client's individual needs and readiness.
Anxiety & Depression
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional distress, and difficulties managing the demands of everyday life. Treatment may incorporate cognitive and behavioral strategies to identify unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and support greater engagement in meaningful areas of life.
A Whole-Person Approach
Addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns often overlap. Rather than focusing solely on a presenting symptom or behavior, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the broader patterns affecting their emotional well-being, relationships, and ability to live according to their values. Together, we identify meaningful goals and develop practical tools to support lasting change and continued growth.
My Mission
My mission is to provide compassionate, clinically informed therapy for individuals and couples navigating addiction, compulsive behaviors, intimacy, and relationship concerns. Through a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative therapeutic environment, I help clients develop insight, accountability, and meaningful skills to create healthier relationships, strengthen emotional well-being, and live more authentically.
My Approach
What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. My therapeutic approach is primarily Person-Centered, emphasizing the development of a collaborative therapeutic relationship grounded in safety, trust, respect, and accountability. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) interventions based on each client's individual needs. CBT can assist in identifying and modifying patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to compulsive or addictive cycles, while DBT skills can support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, impulse control, and development of healthier coping strategies.
