Recovery is about more than simply stopping a behavior. It is an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, develop healthier ways of coping and connecting, rebuild trust in yourself and others, and create a life that reflects your values..

Sex & Pornography Recovery
Sexual and pornography-related concerns can be difficult to talk about—especially when they are accompanied by shame, secrecy, betrayal, or fear of judgment. At Northwood Therapy, I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore these concerns openly and honestly.
As a CSAT- and CMAT-CD-trained clinician, I work with individuals experiencing compulsive sexual or pornography use, problematic sexual behaviors, intimacy concerns, infidelity and relationship impacts, and patterns of acting out that no longer align with the life they want to live.
At Northwood Therapy, therapy is grounded in authenticity, vulnerability, and the belief that meaningful change can occur when difficult experiences can be explored without judgment.

My approach incorporates Dr. Patrick Carnes’ 30-task model as a structured framework for recovery, while tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs and goals. Therapy may include developing behavioral stability and accountability, identifying triggers and the cycle of compulsive behavior, strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills, addressing shame and underlying relational or emotional patterns, establishing healthy boundaries, and developing healthier approaches to intimacy and connection.
